This will make the scene much quieter, and perhaps save a few Outcast lives as well. If you hear (or see) any remaining Super Mutants in the area, however, it's worth backtracking and taking care of business before proceeding forward. When the Super Mutant threat thins, the Outcasts will begin to coalesce into a safer area, where the story of the DLC will begin to unfold. Pick Super Mutant bodies for their goods, of course, but just as a warning, what you're going to uncover when you speak to the Outcasts will have no place for any of your worldly possessions. Generally speaking, the location where the Super Mutants are shooting from at any given time represents the direction you'll want to head towards. Rubble will block you from exploring too much. Though this area seems vast and open, it's not. The heavily-armed Outcasts have their guns wholly trained on the Super Mutant threat in the area, and you should help them out - they need it. The rubble-strewn location that was once Bailey's Crossroads is now a battleground between Super Mutants and Brotherhood of Steel Outcasts. When you run into a metal grating leading back outside, you know you're on the right track. Ignore any side rooms or escalators, as they all lead to dead ends. Also, getting lost here is nearly impossible. You might run into a stray Feral Ghoul or two in the metro, but these foes shouldn't provide a challenge for you no matter when you're encountering them (whether you're level 20 or lower). What you're looking to do is to get to the other side, where Bailey's Crossroads itself (another new location) can be found. Your time in the metro facility itself will be brief. As usual, follow your Pip-Boy's instructions, setting Aiding the Outcasts as the active quest so that locations can be easily found. You're looking for a metal door leading into the metro next to the more traditional-looking metro station. You should have plenty of locations unlocked in the vicinity if not the factory (such as the Nuka-Cola Plant and the Flooded Metro), so you should have plenty of points from which to spring off. The tiny metro station is located adjacent to the Red Racer Factory, on the far southern end of the map, to the west of the Potomac River. To get there, you're going to have to breach a brief, linear metro station called Bailey's Crossroads Metro. Their location is a new one known as Bailey's Crossroads. Listen to the signal and you'll hear nothing but static initially, followed by a plea to come to their location. It's a distress beacon coming from a group known as Outcasts. Then, a message will suddenly show on-screen (like the screen below on the left), informing you that a new radio signal has been discovered. After downloading the DLC to your Xbox360 or PC (sorry PS3 owners - nothing for you guys to see here), you'll have to walk around aimlessly for a few realtime minutes. Operation: Anchorage will begin innocuously enough.
